There's nothing cozier for a cold day than an oversized, baggy sweater. I love the cutouts on this knit that make it so easy to layer with. And buckled booties add some fun edge to the outfit.

Tropical Details
What I'm Wearing: Shorts Rag & Bone | Top Sandro, Similar | Shoes Michael Kors | Clutch Rebecca Minkoff
Sometimes simple is better. Especially when simple pieces have little details that help make them special. Like these shorts, classic black shorts, but the leather detailing gives them just a hint of an edge. And then there's the top, cute white blouse from afar, but the shoulder detailing makes it even better. And a simple outfit gives the accessories some time to shine, like some statement yellow wedges and the cutest tropical printed clutch, which are perfect for summer.

Heat Wave
It is freaking hot outside. For me, that means the lightest layers possible, so silky shorts (especially ones with a cute print) and a lightweight tee are the obvious choice. So easy and comfortable for a super hot day. And I believe I've mentioned it before but I swear by these Aritzia Wilfred tees, simply perfect. Then there's the shoes. A definite ridiculous splurge but, oh my god, I'm just in love. Literally the shoes of my dreams, unreal. Ugh, so good. I actually found them in pink on sale while making this post so definitely check that out here.

Good Sport
What I'm Wearing: Pants Mother Denim | Shirt Rebecca Minkoff | Sneakers Nike | Sunglasses Saint Laurent
A few weeks ago I posted about my love of all things sport-luxe, and finally with this nice weather I've been able to put some of my new sporty pieces together for a fun spring look. This Rebecca Minkoff might just be one of my favorite new spring items in my closet. It really is the perfect mix of sport and classic. And then there's the shoes. I didn't get an up close picture (my bad, sorry) but they actually have a really subtle leopard print on them, and that combined with the neon yellow accents just makes them ridiculously cool. The look is finished off with leather pants along with the latest addition to my sunglass collection.

Puerto Rico
Hey guys! Sorry it's been way too long since I've posted anything. A bad combination of gross weather and midterms kept me from having anytime to take pictures to post, or post anything for that matter. And then once all of that was over I went right on a plane for a quick spring break getaway to Puerto Rico. I promise (for real this time) that I am absolutely taking pictures this weekend and I will be back to posting regularly next week. Until then, enjoy a few pictures from my vacation and be sure to follow my instagram. You can also shop some of my vacation looks below:

Incognito
I've previously expressed my recent love for all things camo, here, but this shirt (that's not even mine, it's actually my mom's) reaffirmed that love. Unlike all the items in my previous post, this shirt really takes a modern approach to camouflage. The pixelated print combined with the cool mix of colors and an effortless shape makes this shirt an instant hit with me. And of course I just wanted to keep it casual in a good pair of jeans and some comfy slip-ons.

NYFW Street Style
New York Fashion Week has ended. It's sad, but now I can look through my instagram without feeling intense jealousy every few pictures from those who were lucky enough to attend. One day, one day I will be there. But until then I stick to viewing the collections online and living the experience through some of my favorite bloggers. And while the actual collections are the reason for fashion week it would be way to difficult to try to narrow down my favorite pieces from all the amazing things I've seen. (Rebecca Minkkoff, Alice and Olivia, Tibi, and BCBG were some of my favorites) So instead I decided to find my favorite street style from NYFW, also a difficult task since there's so much good style, but definitely easier. It's clear that I do love a good monochrome, but I do appreciate good use of color, especially that burgundy color. And prints on prints is almost always good in my book. Plus pairing a blazer with some dressed up sweatpants, I'm amazed, it's just awesome.

Zip It
What I'm Wearing: Shorts Mango, Similar | Tee The Kooples | Shoes Ted Baker | Rings Bing Bang NYC, Bing Bang NYC (Triangle Midi), Rebecca Minkoff (Stacked), LLI Wireworks (Midi)
I used to have a legitimate fear of white pants. I mean seriously, there's just so many things that could go wrong. But, I've slowly conquered my fear thanks to the help of Mango and Zara and their irresistible white shorts. These shorts are just silky goodness, so comfortable. And I love white with navy, such a good combination. So when I picked up this awesome zippered tee I had to pair the two together.

Jewels On Jewels
What I'm Wearing: Watch Skagen | Bangles Marc By Marc Jacobs, Alex and Ani | Rings Urban Outfitters, Urban Outfitters, Rebecca Minkoff | Necklace Rebecca Minkoff | Sunglasses Gucci
These pictures are from a post I wrote for A Scandalously Fabulous Life a few weeks ago, but I thought I'd post them on here as well. The jewelry in these pictures is pretty much my everyday jewelry, give or take a few pieces depending on my mood. I've been really into layering simpler pieces of jewelry. So for me that means stacks of bracelets, some bangles, lots of rings, and 2-3 necklaces. I like how it makes a statement but at the same time it's still a simple more delicate look.

Maxin' Out
What I'm Wearing: Skirt Similar | Tee Aqua, Similar | Shoes Steve Madden | Hand Chain Etsy | Rings Rebecca Minkoff
As you know, I love trying new trends. But the one trend I never really got into was the maxi trend. And technically I still haven't really gotten into it because I borrowed this skirt from my mom. However, I may have to get my own maxi skirt. They are just so comfy and easy to wear. I also posted a close-up of my jewelry because I got a new hand chain that I'm really excited about. I bought it from Etsy and its handmade. It's just so delicate and beautiful, plus it has a pearl on it (my birthstone) and a small feather which is customized with the letter M. Definitely check out the Etsy store in the link above.

Birthday!
Saturday was my nineteenth birthday! It was so much fun. On Friday I went into the city with my two best friends Sophie and Jamie and we went shopping, stopped by Toys R Us in Times Square, and then had dinner at Ruby Foos. And then Saturday, I woke up ate chocolate chip banana pancakes (my favorite food in the world) and then later went out to dinner to STK in the Meatpacking District, and took a few pictures, of coure, too. Seriously dinner was amazing, and dessert, holy crap, the picture does not do it justice. As for the outfits, I absolutely love this dress, it's so summery and fun. And the material is so nice, it's very comfy. I wore it with my new BCBGeneration sandals and my Rebecca Minkoff bag which is the perfect going out bag. I'll have a separate outfit post for the romper I wore on Friday up tomorrow.
