I previously endorsed the lace top here, but if you weren't yet convinced, here's another way to wear it. It really is the perfect spring layering piece that can be paired with so many different items. As the weather gets warmer I love this top paired with a shift dress. 

The Fray

If my post last week wasn't enough to understand my love for frayed denim, here I am in one of my favorite new pieces for spring. I love how the white denim top makes the denim on denim aspect of this outfit slightly less obvious. And since the outfits pretty basic I added some color with my green boots and another trend I love for spring, scarves. Faux Real

I love fall because it's when we get to break out the leather. These faux leather leggings are the perfect way to add some edge to any look. I particularly love them as styled above, with a chunky sweater and some suede boots.

Comfy In Culottes

I've found the secret to ultimate comfiness, knit pants. And why not do knit pants in this season's silhouette, the culotte? Minimal Effort

I will always love two-in-one items. Some days I am can be super lazy and a single shirt that looks like two is the perfect option. It's effortless, yet it looks like I put some effort into getting dressed that morning. A simple layered shirt like this with some destructed denim and awesome slip-on sneakers is definitely one of my go-to outfits for spring. 

All White

Wearing an all white outfit is not an easy feat. First of all, it's scary. When I'm wearing white I have a constant fear of any and all possible stains that could occur. Plus, as we all know, white is not the most forgiving color. But, even so, you cannot deny how good an all white outfit looks. So, I say go for it, but keep it simple. White jeans and white sweater, you can't really go wrong. (Just be very cautious of where you sit..)

Oversized

I had been admiring this shirt for quite some time online before finally trying it on in a store, and I'll admit was disappointed at first to find that even the size extra-small was super big on me. (The problems of being five feet tall..) But I decided I kind-of like the oversize fit and bought it anyway. It makes this shirt perfect for a casual look that strikes the perfect balance between polished and unpolished. And paired with my new favorite jeans it looks even better.

Camel Basics

I have been drawn to anything and everything camel this season. So when I saw this great basic sweater in camel (it photographed a little lighter than it actually is) I had to pick it up. It is the perfect everyday sweater that I just layered with a simple tee underneath it. And because one camel item per outfit isn't enough, I had to put on my camel colored boots as well.

Leather Essentials

My recent posts have all talked about must-have items for fall, but what's fall without a good leather jacket? I think it's a pretty important piece to have, and finding the perfect one is not always easy. Since real leather is almost always going to be an investment piece, it has to be something you love. And, of course, as soon as I put this jacket on I knew I needed to own it. The perfect jacket can add so much to any outfit. I wore it really simply with jeans and a black shirt, and yet the hardware and detailing on the jacket are enough to make this outfit something special.

High Necks and High Heels

I think fall is probably my favorite season. I thoroughly enjoy trading in shorts for jeans and piling on the sweaters. There's not much I love more than high-necks and boots. I especially love that this shirt is a turtle-neck tank top, which makes it the ultimate layering piece. And while most days I opt for flats, it's always fun to wear a heel every once in a while (and to see what the world looks like a few inches higher, #shortpeopleproblems).

Foreign Territory

As a girl who could happily wear a pair of jeans everyday for the rest of life, skirts are pretty much foreign territory. But, while shopping I decided I wanted skirts for this fall, and now I'm trying to fit them into my wardrobe in a way that doesn't feel too foreign. So, for me, that means dressing it down with a simple tee and some boots (perhaps the most important item in one's fall wardrobe). Then as it gets colder I plan to swap a tee for a sweater to wear this awesome multi-layered skirt as many times as I can. 

And by the way, how awesome is the photo of me and my puppy gang? I think it should be the next Christmas card, but unfortunately my sister's not in it. (I think it can still work.)

Simplicity

Obviously I'm really excited about these shoes. (If you didn't see my last post, I got them for 60% off!) So I had to wear them as soon as possible. The rest is just a really simple and easy to wear outfit featuring the best fitting and most comfortable white shorts. Also, after writing this post I am about to go apply copious amounts of self tanner to my legs because these photos were taken after a day of "tanning" but you would never know, #palepeopleproblems.

I have a confession, in real (non-blog) life my summer wardrobe basically consists of denim shorts and tees. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the occasional cute printed short, blouse, even a dress, but in all honesty I just don't put much thought into everyday summer outfits. Because all we all really want to be wearing is a bathing suit by a pool, right?
