The best way to get more use out of your favorite pieces is to layer them. Slip dresses, which are very on trend for this summer, make a great base for tons of layering options. For a warmer day a button-up tee worn open is a great way to layer while still keeping cool.

Off-the-shoulder tops are everywhere this spring. I love this basic take on the trend but with the added detail of the tied up sleeves. I can't wait to style it all spring and summer long. 

Little Black Dress

We all know there's nothing better than a little black dress. This t-shirt dress is the perfect casual piece for spring, and I absolutely love the ribbed detail on it. The LBD gives you the perfect opportunity to play up the accessories, so I decided to wear statement boots and scarf to finish off the look. 

The Fray

If my post last week wasn't enough to understand my love for frayed denim, here I am in one of my favorite new pieces for spring. I love how the white denim top makes the denim on denim aspect of this outfit slightly less obvious. And since the outfits pretty basic I added some color with my green boots and another trend I love for spring, scarves. Shades of Blue

Lace-up tops have proved to have some staying power, as evidenced by this post I made about them almost a year ago. I like how this sweatshirt uses the lace-up detail in a way that's much more casual. I made the look even more casual by throwing on some ripped jeans and a pair of nikes. And my last accessory is this gorgeous Chloe bag, which I received as a gift after interning for them during market week. I am obsessed with the gorgeous color and how it really brings together the rest of the outfit.

On My Mind

These boots can easily transform any outfit. I'm still searching for a more affordable pair that looks this good. But until then, a girl can dream..

Culottes

Culottes have become very popular over the past season but it has taken me some time to finally try it out. When your wardrobe consists of 99% skinny jeans, it's not exactly easy to try such a different shape. But when I found this amazing pair (on sale, no less) I knew it was time to try it out. I love how just with a basic turtleneck the look feels so polished. And the all black outfit is the perfect look to wear these amazing new Chloe boots with (also an amazing sale find). They're a beautiful greenish/blue color but with the lack of color in my wardrobe they can easily be treated as a neutral and will be worn with almost anything.
