With the blizzard today I thought it would be a good day to share pictures of my amazing fur coat from the last snow storm. There's nothing cozier for a cold day than an oversized, baggy sweater. I love the cutouts on this knit that make it so easy to layer with. And buckled booties add some fun edge to the outfit.

Sometimes the details make an outfit. For me, I fell in love with this blouse because of the button detail on the shoulder. And I love the idea of pairing a nicer blouse with a destroyed straight leg jean so it becomes a more casual look. Then for an extra detail I added a pair of fishnet socks to peek out between my jeans and my boots.

When I took these photos a few weeks ago it was just a bit warmer than it has been the past few days. Regardless, I love the look of layering graphic tees under dresses or tanks. Just add tights and you can carry the look into winter. Also, Happy Thanksgiving!

Another one of my favorite looks this fall is the statement sleeve. I especially love this top which combines a bell sleeve with a tie detail. Blue Velvet

Going into the fall I knew I wanted a lot of velvet in my wardrobe. And more specifically, I knew I wanted a pair of blue velvet booties. Finding them at an affordable price point was a challenge, but I finally found these French Connection boots, which I am completely in love with. When I wear them I typically like to let them be the star of my look, so for this outfit I paired them with a simple black dress layered over a black long sleeve tee with white stitching.
