I did it, I found the perfect pair of leather pants. And let me tell you, even though leather is everywhere this season, it was not easy to find these pants. I mean you could spend $800 and easily get a great pair, but if you're trying to stay on somewhat of a budget that's not going to work. So other options are a leatherette coated jean, which I own but I don't think really looks like leather, a legging with a leather front or leather accents, a plastic-y looking leather, or these. Aside from the fact that it's hard to really bend in these, they are perfect. They add just the right amount of edge to any outfit.

P.S. Do you like my new lipstick? I loved the deep plum lips I've been seeing everywhere and finally decided to try it.

Coat Crazy

Okay, so it's not quite coat season yet. But think about it, we shop for summer clothes starting around March, fall invades stores late July, and so actually I'm very behind on my coat shopping. A coat is such an important piece and yet I do not own one. However, that's going to change because I really really really want one. I own lots of jackets because they tend to be my weakness, I'm always falling in love with them. But a coat is different, it's a little dressier, more sophisticated. And I need one. Luckily, finding one shouldn't be a problem because there are tons to choose from and I put some of my favorites above. Yes, some of them are way out of my price range but they were too amazing to resist blogging them. The first one to catch my eye, that Thakoon leopard print coat, seriously, did anyone else instantly fall in love with that one? And then some plaid, some leather, and you can't have a wish list of coats without Burberry. Ugh, and that Valentino. I am seriously considering the pink and black BB Dakota one though, I normally don't do pink but that subtle pale pink is almost a neutral. Decisions, decisions..

And in case you forgot you can click on any of the pictures above to view where to buy them.

Alright, I am officially in fall mode. After a full week of sweaters I've officially retired shorts and I'm ready for fall. So what better way to celebrate fall than with the coolest, comfiest, softest, stylish sweatpants. I kept the sweatpants casual with a striped sweater and my espadrilles. Although I do plan on trying to dress these sweatpants up later, so keep an eye out for them again.

P.S. Who is ridiculously excited for fall TV? I've already got Bones, Castle, and Criminal Minds, and Homeland premieres on Sunday. YESS! (I watch a lot of tv)

You know it's fall when the sunglasses finally come off.. But really the weather is starting to cool down and we have officially entered fall, or at least pre-fall. And pre-fall is the perfect time to channel school girl vibes with skirts and plaids. A fuzzy plaid sweater, such as this one which is ridiculously soft, is the perfect piece to keep you warm. While a cute skirt keeps you from dying of heat once you step into the sun. And the perfect pair of booties complete any outfit.

While searching the racks at the Saks Off Fifth outlet I (well, my mom) found these amazing pants. Seriously, they are silk patterned pajama trend perfection. Comfort and style, truly a winning combination. With the pajama pant trend and the stylish sweatpants, I'm going to be some comfy all fall long. And, bonus, I found the perfect white tee at Aritzia.

I really never wear leggings, like ever. I don't think they are very flattering and to be honest I'd rather wear jeans because I have the comfiest jeans ever. But, these are different. Honestly, I wouldn't even call them a legging if I was classifying them. They're thicker than a legging and have awesome pocket details, I'd just call them a super comfy pant. But whatever you call them, they're awesome. Then there's this sweater which I got when I stumbled upon a Ted Baker sale in June and I've been waiting for the right weather to wear it. It's so comfy, and I didn't get an up close picture but the buttons have little birdies on them. Lastly, the booties. That gold heel. That's all I've got to say.

P.S. Sorry for the total slacking last week, but don't worry I've got lots of outfits for you this week!

Wishlist

Vince Camuto Petite Outerwear · Sam Edelman Flats · BCBGMAXAZRIA Boots

Alright, first of all sorry for the lack of outfit posts. I had a stressful week of starting a few classes so I wasn't able to take pictures. But, don't worry, there will be all new outfits post next week, I promise. That brings me to today's post which might be the most random wish list I've ever created. This wish list has no particular theme it's just all items that I love. I have to say my favorite items are the Vince Camuto coat, the Sam Edelman shoes, and the Rag and Bone blazer. Seriously though, I want that coat so bad. Guess that's why they call it a wishlist..

Don't Sweat It

What I'm Wearing: Pants Solow | Shirt Aritzia

That's right, I've found the comfiest trend ever. I have to admit I'm not really a sweatpants person. I mean, I wear them around the house, and I find them incredibly comfortable, but you will never see me wear them out of the house. Until now, that is. This new combination of ultimate comfort and style is ridiculously awesome. Expect me to style the above pants numerous ways just as a challenge to see how many ways I can make sweatpants look good. And take a look at other versions of the stylish sweatpant below in this super amazing widget that might be the best thing to happen to this blog yet.

Summer Roundup

Summer is over. I mean sure, it's not totally fall weather, but it's definitely getting cooler. And, although I love summer, I am so ready to wear pants again, and sweaters, and boots. So, I thought I'd roundup my favorite summer outfits as a goodbye to shorts, tanks, and sandals. It sure was a great, and stylish, summer. Now I can't wait to show you what I've got for fall.

NYFW Street Style

New York Fashion Week has ended. It's sad, but now I can look through my instagram without feeling intense jealousy every few pictures from those who were lucky enough to attend. One day, one day I will be there. But until then I stick to viewing the collections online and living the experience through some of my favorite bloggers. And while the actual collections are the reason for fashion week it would be way to difficult to try to narrow down my favorite pieces from all the amazing things I've seen. (Rebecca Minkkoff, Alice and Olivia, Tibi, and BCBG were some of my favorites) So instead I decided to find my favorite street style from NYFW, also a difficult task since there's so much good style, but definitely easier. It's clear that I do love a good monochrome, but I do appreciate good use of color, especially that burgundy color. And prints on prints is almost always good in my book. Plus pairing a blazer with some dressed up sweatpants, I'm amazed, it's just awesome.

Summer hasn't quite come to an end (as seen by yesterday's heat) but it is ending soon. So my fall wardrobe is just waiting to be worn, while my summer wardrobe feels so unexciting. I feel like I've worn everything so many times now and I just want to wear something new. But while it's still hot outside I have to figure out new ways to rework my wardrobe. To do that I took one of my favorite pairs of shorts which I would normally pair with a delicate, girly top and did the complete opposite. Instead, I paired these shorts with a destroyed t-shirt to create a mismatched clash of styles, that somehow all works together.

What I'm Wearing: Jeans Hudson Jeans | Tank Angie

While dressing up in all the latest trends is certainly fun, it's also important to have good basics. For those days when you don't feel like putting a lot of effort into what to wear, the perfect pair of jeans and a tank can be the perfect effortless outfit. To me, these Hudson jeans are the perfect basic because they go with anything, but at the same time they have their own character with the light wash and rips so they can be the standout piece in an outfit too. And I am loving this burgundy/maroon color for fall, so cute, just throw on a great necklace and you're set.

Half&Half

What I'm Wearing: Shirt Aritzia | Skirt Free People, Similar | Shoes Converse | Necklaces Michael KorsDogearedDogeared

How cute is this shirt/dress I got from Aritzia? I love the bluish-gray color of the top with the black bottom. And I also love how it works perfectly as a dress, with a skirt or slip underneath because it has slit sides, but it will also work perfectly with some skinny jeans or some leggings once the weather gets cold. I wanted to keep the dress super casual so I threw on my converse. Plus, I stepped up my necklace game by wearing four necklaces instead of the usual three. I love how the two Dogeared necklaces lay next to each other, they are so delicate and so cute.

P.S. How cute is the little puppy parade going on in the third picture :)
