Shades of Blue

Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Top Mother Denim | Sneakers Nike | Bag Chloe

Lace-up tops have proved to have some staying power, as evidenced by this post I made about them almost a year ago. I like how this sweatshirt uses the lace-up detail in a way that's much more casual. I made the look even more casual by throwing on some ripped jeans and a pair of nikes. And my last accessory is this gorgeous Chloe bag, which I received as a gift after interning for them during market week. I am obsessed with the gorgeous color and how it really brings together the rest of the outfit.

Double Plaid

Wearing: Jeans Mother Denim | Top Rag & Bone | Shoes Chanel

In my book fall equals plaid. The more plaid the better. Which is why I'm never taking off these amazing plaid espadrilles. And this cute plaid tee will be on heavy rotation as well.

Peeks Of Plaid

Wearing: Pants Mother Denim | Shirt Equipment, Similar | Sweater Rag & Bone | Boots Vince Camuto

Midterms have turned my brain to mush, so I honestly can't think of anything to write right now. Too much math on the brain to think about anything else. But for now enjoy the photos and shop above and I'll be back with something to say tomorrow.

Leather Weather

Wearing: Pants Mother Denim | Tank AritziaSimilar | Plaid Shirt Rails | Shoes Miu Miu

One of the reasons I could not hold off blogging any longer was that there was no way I would miss out on fall fashion. Fall is definitely my favorite season, I love being able to slowly pile on layer after layer as it gets cooler (but before it gets freaking freezing). The only problem is, sometimes fall weather can be unpredictable. The solution: keep an extra layer around your waist, then if it gets a little cooler you are prepared.

For me, this outfit is all about the details, like the lace detailing on my tank top or the bit of metallic on my shoes. Plus, I love the idea of an all black look using different textures. And the plaid around my waist just breaks it up a bit. And then there's the pants, I swear I never feel cooler than when I'm wearing my leather pants (which are now on super sale, go go go!).

Good Sport

What I'm Wearing: Pants Mother Denim | Shirt Rebecca Minkoff | Sneakers Nike | Sunglasses Saint Laurent

A few weeks ago I posted about my love of all things sport-luxe, and finally with this nice weather I've been able to put some of my new sporty pieces together for a fun spring look. This Rebecca Minkoff might just be one of my favorite new spring items in my closet. It really is the perfect mix of sport and classic. And then there's the shoes. I didn't get an up close picture (my bad, sorry) but they actually have a really subtle leopard print on them, and that combined with the neon yellow accents just makes them ridiculously cool. The look is finished off with leather pants along with the latest addition to my sunglass collection.

Pastel Pink

One trend I previously discussed for spring was blush tones, and another big trend is pastel colors. I would say this sweater falls right between both those trends. What I really love about it though is the color blocking, which breaks up all of the pink. As you know, pink is not a color that makes a regular appearance in my wardrobe, so it's gotta be something good to make me pick up something pink. And since pink is a bit out of my color comfort zone I threw on my faux leather pants in order to edge up this baby pink look.

I would love to introduce you to, drumroll please, my new bag. It was love at first sight, and since I'm very impatient and could not wait, this bag became a Hanukkah / extremely early birthday present. And while come June I might be slightly disappointed that I blew through part of my birthday money six months prior, at the moment I could not be happier. That classic shape, the gold hardware, this is a bag that will never go out of style. Which is good, because I'm pretty sure I've blown my pocketbook budget for the rest of eternity, or until I get a really good job. Anyways, while my Saint Laurent bag is definitely always going to be the focal point of any outfit I wear it with, I am still wearing some pretty good clothes too. Like this Equipment blouse, that I found on sale! Nobody does a blouse like Equipment, and nothing is better than finding one of those blouses on sale, because they do not come cheap.

The greatest thing about winter? Easy, cashmere. And this oversized, burgundy, Equipment cashmere is my new go-to sweater to keep snuggly and warm during this ridiculously cold weather. Perfect on its own, even better when dressed up with a button-up underneath. Add suede slip-ons (yes, not ideal when there's snow on the ground but I just love them), and then nothing completes an outfit like leather pants and a slouchy beanie.

I very rarely wear pants other than my trusted AG Jeans, so when I'm wearing another type of pant, you know it's good. Not only are these jeans made in the coolest wash, which is actually named spontaneous combustion, but they are also super comfortable. And comfort is always a deciding factor when I'm picking up a pair of jeans. While most of us pass over our everyday basics they are actually a very important part of our wardrobes. A plain white tee may just be the most important of these basics, or maybe it's tied with the basic black tee. Either way, a good tee can make any outfit look effortless and cool.

A Whole New Look

While I try to show you new clothing every time I post, it's just not possible. As much as I'd love a magical closet that held a never-ending supply of clothing, I don't have one. Which is why sometimes we have to take things from our closet and reinvent them. And one way to do this is by layering. Take this sweater (which is actually new, not good for my point but oh well), I can wear it as just an easy, cute black sweater, or add a collared shirt underneath (which isn't new, I wore it here). And every time you wear the sweater with a different collared shirt under it, you almost have a whole new look.

What I'm Wearing: Pants Mother Denim | Shirt Rails | Boots Tory Burch

As you may already know, when I want something I don't stop searching until I find the perfect one. Like with my leather pants, or my moto boots, and this plaid shirt. You think it would be easy considering how much plaid I've amassed this fall, but then again I'm very picky. But with this shirt it was love at first sight, and feel. Seriously this is the comfiest shirt ever. In fact, I'm actually wearing it right now (which will be yesterday when this is posted). In the photos I wore the shirt with my leather pants to edge it up a bit. But in real life I'm wearing this shirt with leggings and I couldn't be happier, or comfier.
