Lace-up tops have proved to have some staying power, as evidenced by this post I made about them almost a year ago. I like how this sweatshirt uses the lace-up detail in a way that's much more casual. I made the look even more casual by throwing on some ripped jeans and a pair of nikes. And my last accessory is this gorgeous Chloe bag, which I received as a gift after interning for them during market week. I am obsessed with the gorgeous color and how it really brings together the rest of the outfit.

Calvin

When I went into Urban Outfitters it was pretty hard to ignore the Calvin Klein collection. Not only do ll the pieces have an iconic 90's feel, but this is also one of the comfiest sweatshirts I've ever worn. I love it for a super casual look with loose jeans and some sneakers. And I'm not gonna lie, I've got my eye on this one too.

Give Me Space

It was impossible to pass up this adorable spacey sweatshirt that reads "give me space".  And it is just as amazingly comfy as it looks. I love the idea of taking a sweatshirt and making it something other than strictly casual wear. Paired with a suede skirt and sneakers, it's the perfect mix of comfy and cute. 

Boy Meets Girl

Today I've decided to work some of my favorite pieces in a totally different way. I've taken some inspiration from the boys for a look that's pretty different from my usual style. There's something so cool about menswear influenced womenswear though, the slouchy, laid back nature of it all just feels  effortless. So to create this look I've taken my pinstripe trousers and paired it with a basic white blouse and Zara's take on a Givenchy sweatshirt. Now, if everything went the way I wanted it to I would have been wearing these with this outfit, but of course they were too narrow for my feet. So while I'm still on the hunt for the next best sneaker, (because let's face it the sneaker trend is everywhere right now) my trusty converse do the job for now.

There was a time when sweatshirts were reserved solely for lazy days. However, the sweatshirt has been reinvented and given a new purpose. Now, thanks to the likes of Kenzo, Givenchy, and many others, the last place you want to be wearing your sweatshirt is indoors on the couch. Whether it's a simple sweatshirt paired with a skirt or some leather pants, or a statement sweatshirt with a great pair of jeans, the sweatshirt has become a wardrobe staple. And of course, there is nothing I like more than clothing that not only looks good but is super comfy. Sweatshirt Season

What I'm Wearing: Skirt Zara | Sweatshirt Townsen | Boots Zara

I decided to take my skort out for one last hurrah before I'll have to put on tights with it, or any skirt for that matter. It was a little chilly out, so I decided to balance my bare legs with a sweatshirt on top. I really love the leather trim on the arms and neck on this sweatshirt, it adds something special to an otherwise plain gray sweatshirt. And my new Zara boots complete the outfit. 

P.S. I'm currently listening to Lorde's new album, it's so freaking amazing. I highly recommend it. 

Keep Calm And..

What I'm Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Sweatshirt Aqua | Boots Zara 

Basically, this is my new favorite sweatshirt I own. London is probably my favorite place I've ever visited, I want to go back so bad. And of course, like the rest of the world, I love a British accent. So that's why this sweatshirt it perfect for me. Seriously, the whole time I watched the 2012 London Olympics I spoke in a British accent, I couldn't stop, my family wasn't very pleased. Anyways, Aqua (available at Bloomingdales) has a whole line of British themed sweatshirts and sweaters and they are all so fun I wish I could buy them all. But for now I'll just stick to wearing this one way too much. 

One Of Those Days

Yesterday was just one of those days. The weather was not so great, I was tired, and was not really in the mood to take pictures. The outcome, a comfy-casual outfit, with no makeup (although most days I don't wear makeup anyway), and no jewelry. I do really love this sweatshirt though, it's the perfect throw on piece for those bad weather days. I was going to put on converse, but since I was too lazy to find socks I put on my pointed flats instead. And I must say I like the flats with the outfit. It's laziness at its finest, but it somehow all worked.

The Cold Shoulder

So clearly this is not a summer day outfit. It's more of a "summer night not during a heatwave when there's actually a slight chill and it's not 95 degrees at 8 at night" outfit. I personally love stripes, and I love how the open shoulder makes this sweatshirt feel more summery. Plus, it's on a pretty good sale, who could pass that up? It's the perfect throw on piece for any summer night.

Cooler Than Your Average Sweatshirt

Somedays you just want to be comfy. And this Free People sweatshirt is the perfect piece for those days. It's super comfy but the patches on the sleeves make it way cooler than the ordinary sweatshirt. I've worn it so much this winter it's starting to rip a little, fortunately though, it looks like its just part of the shirt.
