Leather Weather

Wearing: Pants Mother Denim | Tank AritziaSimilar | Plaid Shirt Rails | Shoes Miu Miu

One of the reasons I could not hold off blogging any longer was that there was no way I would miss out on fall fashion. Fall is definitely my favorite season, I love being able to slowly pile on layer after layer as it gets cooler (but before it gets freaking freezing). The only problem is, sometimes fall weather can be unpredictable. The solution: keep an extra layer around your waist, then if it gets a little cooler you are prepared.

For me, this outfit is all about the details, like the lace detailing on my tank top or the bit of metallic on my shoes. Plus, I love the idea of an all black look using different textures. And the plaid around my waist just breaks it up a bit. And then there's the pants, I swear I never feel cooler than when I'm wearing my leather pants (which are now on super sale, go go go!).

Music Monday | Beggin For Thread

As part of the new content I'm creating I want to share more of what I see, what I like, and what inspires me. And nothing inspires me quite like a good song. Plus, whether in music videos, on stage, or on red carpets, music and fashion definitely go hand in hand. So, I introduce to you, Music Mondays. Every Monday I will share with you a new song, an old song, or whatever song is stuck in my head that day.

This week I have been singing Banks all day, everyday. I just bought her album and now I cannot get her out of my head. Which, is definitely not a bad thing. She has such a unique sound, I just can't get enough. And since it is the first Music Monday, I thought I'd go ahead and not just share one, but two songs. So above is Beggin For Thread and below is Drowning, my two favorites off her new album. (And how amazing are those suits in the Drowning video, too good.)

Hello Again..

Hey guys! Okay, so I totally underestimated how long it will truly take to be able to makeover my blog. And then on top of that I gave myself a pretty ridiculous time table to do everything in. And the pressure was certainly not helping me figure out a way to make the blog look its best. So, I've decided I am going to resume posting for now, while continuing to work on a new blog template (and reading HTML for Dummies). And whenever the new layout is ready I will update the blog, but until then the show must go on, so:

There will be a new post tomorrow, which is part of a completely new category of posts on the blog. Then starting on Tuesday I will have all new outfit posts for you!

Extreme Makeover: Blog Edition

Wearing: Shorts Lovers + Friends | Tank Twenty Tees | Shoes Birkenstock

You may have been wondering what is going on with the blog as my posts went from infrequent at best this summer to pretty much completely halted the last two weeks. Well, truth be told, I ran into quite the mental block this summer. But then it hit me, what I need is to revamp the blog because the only way it can be exciting for people to read is if it is once again exciting for me to write. So here's what I'm going to do:

First things first, the blog is getting a makeover. New layout, new theme, all that jazz. Then I'm going to be adding new content too. Personal outfit posts will be central to the blog, as before, but I'm going to add in more posts of what inspires me, and hopefully can inspire you too. (I'll talk more about that stuff when when the relaunch occurs.)

So, I leave you for a short break with this last little post. This is an outfit I took pictures of a few weeks ago but never got the chance to post. Just thought I'd show off these awesome 90's-esque destroyed denim, high-waisted shorts as one last bit of summer before I come back with tons of fall inspiration.

If all goes as plan the blog will be up and running again by next week, so keep an eye on my facebook page and my twitter for the official relaunch date.
