A Whole New Look

While I try to show you new clothing every time I post, it's just not possible. As much as I'd love a magical closet that held a never-ending supply of clothing, I don't have one. Which is why sometimes we have to take things from our closet and reinvent them. And one way to do this is by layering. Take this sweater (which is actually new, not good for my point but oh well), I can wear it as just an easy, cute black sweater, or add a collared shirt underneath (which isn't new, I wore it here). And every time you wear the sweater with a different collared shirt under it, you almost have a whole new look.  

Perfectly Plaid

As you may already know, when I want something I don't stop searching until I find the perfect one. Like with my leather pants, or my moto boots, and this plaid shirt. You think it would be easy considering how much plaid I've amassed this fall, but then again I'm very picky. But with this shirt it was love at first sight, and feel. Seriously this is the comfiest shirt ever. In fact, I'm actually wearing it right now (which will be yesterday when this is posted). In the photos I wore the shirt with my leather pants to edge it up a bit. But in real life I'm wearing this shirt with leggings and I couldn't be happier, or comfier. 

Little Blue Dress

There's something so perfect about the simplicity of a great dress. No layers (aside from maybe some tights and a coat), no hassle, just one simple article of clothing. I particularly love this shape, it just has such an easygoing feel to it. It's easy to wear and looks amazing. Besides the great color, I'm in for almost anything leopard this season. 

Wanted | Flats

This week what I am wanting is shoes, shoes, and more shoes. Whether it's a traditional flat, a smoking slipper, or a slip on sneaker, I want it. Not only are flats on trend, but they are always a great comfortable alternative to any shoe. I actually just bought the suede Vince slip-ons and I am in love, I cannot wait to wear them. But I'm also really loving all the printed versions available. Why not make a statement with your feet? Or add to a simple outfit with a pop of prints on your shoes. And I am totally eyeing the black pointed-toe Vince flats, too good. Shop these flats below:

Effortless?

What I'm Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Shirt 3.1 Phillip Lim, Similar, Similar | Jacket All Saints | Shoes Vince Camuto, Similar

Alright, so the story behind these pictures goes: Me in my outfit complete with my new 3.1 Phillip Lim tank (from the sample sale) and my leather jacket. Then in order to show off how awesome this tank is I took off the jacket. Then because it was freezing outside I threw my jacket over my shoulders in an effort to look cool and effortless. But I guess if you exert effort into being effortless then it completely defeats the purpose. Hmm.. Anyway, is anyone else extremely mad about how cold it is? I feel like we've barely even had fall. I just want to be able to wear my leather jacket a little bit longer. Please mother nature?

Teal Tendencies

What I'm Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Shirt Aritzia | Shoes Kurt Geiger | Necklace Kate Spade

This shirt literally drew me in when I found it. I spotted it on a mannequin from across the store, and just from the amazing color I knew I had to have it. And then when I found the shirt it also fit nice which was an added bonus. But seriously the color is so good I might have bought it even if it didn't fit. To add a bit of interest I layered two necklaces, with a long one and then a short one peeking out from beneath the collar. As always, a good pair of jeans completes the look. This pair I think has become my favorite style, but I might change my mind tomorrow. All I know is any pair of AG Jeans is good, no matter the style. 

On a side note, why am I never looking at the camera? You'd think after 176 posts I'd figure this out..

What I'm Wearing: Skirt Free People, Similar | Tank 3.1 Phillip Lim | Jacket Townsen | Shoes Vince Camuto, Similar

Last week I went to a Phillip Lim sample sale and it was so good. Definitely a little chaotic, but really fun, and I walked away with three shirts. (All plaid, oops.) This tank is one of them, and I just love the washed out color of the plaid. Since it was on the longer side I knew I wanted to try it out with a skirt. I also wanted to add a cool sporty touch so I brought out my leather baseball jacket. Oh, and please excuse the giant rip in the side of my tights. You really shouldn't wear rings while putting on tights, nothing good can come of it.
