Versatility is so important when it comes to clothes. You have to buy something and know it fits in with your closet and you have plenty of ways to wear it. But sometimes we just love something and you buy it. And I did that with this skirt, I bought it knowing I would wear it with a red tank (original post here) but after that I just kind of stared at it wondering what else I could do with it. Then finally I realized the simple solution. Who doesn't love something oversized on top of a skirt, such a fun girly meets casual look. I can't wait to wear this skirt into fall now knowing I can throw a sweater on with it and some boots.

Tribal Instincts

These shorts are actually from last summer and I had almost forgotten about them. Which is strange because I'm pretty sure I wore them almost every day last summer. But, anyway, I rediscovered them in my closet and remembered how much I love them. And instead of wearing them in a super casual way as I normally would with a black tank or tee I decided to change it up. Instead I wore a white blouse (I had been searching for the perfect one and just found this the other day) and my white pointed toe flats. 

Motorcycle Gang

The motorcycle shorts are back! I'm literally in love with these shorts, so any new way I can wear them is good with me. So when I found this BCBG shirt I knew I could create a cute casual look with my shorts. While I love this shirt with my shorts, I also can't wait to rock it with some leather leggings in the fall. It actually has a long back that I tucked in to wear it with shorts. And I love a good high-neck. 

P.S. The third picture is me making faces at myself when I saw my reflection, I can never just keep a straight face.

Zip It

I used to have a legitimate fear of white pants. I mean seriously, there's just so many things that could go wrong. But, I've slowly conquered my fear thanks to the help of Mango and Zara and their irresistible white shorts. These shorts are just silky goodness, so comfortable. And I love white with navy, such a good combination. So when I picked up this awesome zippered tee I had to pair the two together. 

Into The Woods

This Free People inspired outfit is for a contest I'm entering. The goal was to embody the Free People spirit, so I put on my new Free People Skirt, a very old Free People tank, and a great Free People Jacket. Then I ventured into the woods because it just seemed like the appropriate place to be. And I put on my new Tory Burch booties because I just couldn't resist an opportunity to wear them. You can't see it because there wasn't a good picture but the heel is gold. But don't worry I'll be wearing them quite often so there will be another picture. 

"Cool Factor"

Today's outfit is pretty much a go to cool casual look. I kept it simple in a sheer paneled tee, but added just the slightest bit of edge with leather shorts. And then to amp up that summer "cool" factor some converse and a backwards hat will always do the trick. I'm actually still looking for the perfect hat, preferably a leather one. Ah, the disadvantages of having a small head. I've ordered two different hat that I had to send back because they were too big! So the search continues..

Dressing With Ease

This is another piece I bought the other day that works for summer and will transition for fall. I love the ease of this dress. It doesn't need anything else, it's just a great dress. It's so comfy and ridiculously easy to wear. All it needed was some wedges (or boots in the fall), sunglasses, and lots of layered jewels.
