Summer is not over yet. And while I cannot wait for fall style, at the same time I'm still not quite ready to give up summer. There's just something so casual and laid-back with summer style that I don't want to let go of. Like these crazy printed shorts, they're the essence of summer style. I previously wore them (here) and dressed them up for a fun summer night, but they work so perfectly for a daytime look too. Paired with a cute black tee and the perfect pair of studded sandals, it's easy summer fashion.

Today's outfit is pretty much a go to cool casual look. I kept it simple in a sheer paneled tee, but added just the slightest bit of edge with leather shorts. And then to amp up that summer "cool" factor some converse and a backwards hat will always do the trick. I'm actually still looking for the perfect hat, preferably a leather one. Ah, the disadvantages of having a small head. I've ordered two different hat that I had to send back because they were too big! So the search continues..

Great Lengths

Normally I don't really play with length. I usually keep it short because I'm petite and that's what I know works. But when I found this dress I just fell in love. I kind of just love the odd length of it, and the best part, it's ruched so if I want to I can just pull it up and make it shorter. And then I just threw this shirt over it for a more casual look. (Although my mom gets styling credit for picking out the shirt) I must say, I went shopping the other day and oh my goodness, I cannot wait for fall. Even now I'm picturing this same dress with a long sleeve sweater and some booties, mmm, so perfect.
