Insta-Winter

Alright, first of all, sorry for the lack of outfit posts these past couple of weeks. I've gotten caught up in school, I have midterms the next few weeks, and to be honest this continued cold weather has not been very inspiring for getting dressed in the morning. The way this winter has dragged on has made it difficult to try to style the items I've been wearing over and over when all I want to do is wear new spring clothes and enjoy some nicer weather. But, it does seem like it is finally coming to an end, thank goodness. So I thought it would be a good time to wrap up winter by sharing some of my favorite outfit posts from my instagram. I also added a few extra pictures just from some random winter days, which includes an awesome sunset view, the Floating City holiday window display at Barneys, and of course a picture of Bella looking ridiculously adorable. So, I promise there will be more outfit posts next week, but for now make sure to follow me on instagram here. 

Furry Friends

What I'm Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Sweater Maje, Similar | Coat Similar | Boots Burberry

This coat is yet another find from that wonderful trip to the front hall closet. I really wasn't lying when I said I found a really good collection of coats there. And this one has to be a favorite. It is honestly the softest coat I have ever worn in my whole life, I didn't want to take it off. Of course with a coat this beautiful I had to keep the rest of my outfit simple, so the usual jeans, sweater, and wonderfully awesome burberry boots rounded out the look. And a post entitled Furry Friends would not be complete without the appearance of one of my furry friends, so enjoy the adorable picture of Bella in the snow. 

Pop Color

What I'm Wearing: Pants J Brand | Tank Helmut Lang, Similar | Blazer Dylan Alexa, Similar | Boots Zara

Sample sales are my new best friends. Granted, they are a little dangerous because you know you are getting such great deals so you pick up everything in sight. But when they pay-off, it's amazing. Like this Helmut Lang tank, originally $310, I got it for just $60. I'm in love with that little pop of bright orange color blocked into the shirt. It really pops among this monochrome outfit. And I layered a sheer blazer on top so that the color pops all the way through, giving a little surprise when I turn around. But, the most important part of this post is how adorable Bella is modeling in that first picture. 

Pied-á-Terre

I wasn't lying when I said I had exciting things happening this week. Above are pictures of my new room! My family got a pied-á-terre (second home) in New York City and I just moved in yesterday. It's just so pretty, I look out the window every five seconds. But can you blame me? That sixth photo is the view from my room! (and it's even prettier at night) So insane. And I got to decorate which was stressful but fun. I wanted it to be very city-chic and modern and I think I succeeded. I especially love the black and gold hanging piece where I've proudly displayed my favorite jackets and boots. Harley and Bella also really love my room, they're so cute and confused they follow me around everywhere I go. And I had to throw in a picture of my new Goyard tote, it just completes the room doesn't it? 

#SelfieSummer

It has been a really good summer, and it has been well captured by selfies. Whether it was going out on my boat, heading into the city, going to see the X Factor auditions, or even taking pictures for the blog, I made sure to document it all with a quick selfie. I mean, come on, we all love to hate selfies, but deep down I think most of us just love em. And I'm sorry I don't have any outfit posts for you this week, I wasn't able to take any pictures this past weekend. But I will post some other fun stuff later on in the week and there will be more outfit posts next week!

What I'm Wearing: Skirt Aqua | Tee True Religion | Shoes Sam Edelman

So as I'm sure you've noticed, whenever my one of my dogs makes it into a photo, that photo pretty much always makes it onto my blog. But when I was standing with Harley (the white one) and my dad told me we looked like Dorothy and Toto, I just couldn't resist. Even though it would have worked a little better if Bella had stood next to me since she looks more like Toto, I still love it. And I also love how I have like a little false denim on denim going on with a fake denim skirt and a t-shirt made by a denim brand. 

Flower Power

What I'm Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Tank ASTR | Shoes Steve Madden | Headband Free People | Bracelets Alex and Ani

I absolutely love florals for spring! And I love the print on this tank, it has the prettiest colors. I decided to wear it with my mid-rise jeans, one of my favorite headbands, some cool sandals, and of course a stack of Alex and Ani bangles. And Bella decided to make a cameo, although shortly after putting her down she ran away and a chase ensued. At least she's cute, right?
