What I'm Wearing: Skirt Zara | Tank Zara | Shoes Dolce Vita

I love color blocking. It's such a fun way to play with lots of colors without going too overboard. And with this outfit, I discovered a love for red and also a love for Zara. Red is just such a fun color and you will be sure to always stand out in it. And Zara, great clothes, good prices, what more could you ask for? Aside from this adorable skirt, I got some really great shorts and basic tops there. I can't wait to wear it all.

Simple Style

What I'm Wearing: Dress Bailey 44, Similar | Shoes Steve Madden | Sunglasses Gucci

While I definitely love shorts and a tee or tank for most summer days, it's fun to dress up a little every once in a while. I love this dress because it's so simple, but very flattering and fun to dress up with lots of gold jewels. I also feel like how the cap sleeve and longer skirt have an almost 50's feel. Perfect with some cute sandals and of course, sunglasses.

Give Me A T

What I'm Wearing: Shorts Free People | Tee Ted Baker | Shoes Dolce Vita

I have a tendency to gravitate towards fun, sometimes, weird clothing. So when I see something like a shirt with zoo animals on it like giraffes and elephants, I need to get it. That's why I love this adorable Ted Baker tee with animals forming a T, it's just too fun. I wore it with leather shorts just to dress it up a little bit but it would really work with anything. 

Pass The Mustard

Not only was this blazer on super sale, but it's also like the coolest mustard color ever. I think it's so fun to just add a nice pop of color to a black and white outfit with some mustard yellow. And I got new sunglasses for my birthday which I am absolutely in love with. I also got some fun new jewels from Urban Outfitters and Rebecca Minkoff. The bar necklace and stackable rings are Rebecca Minkoff and the handpiece, other ring, and midi rings are all from Urban Outfitters. 

Casual Fridays

What I'm Wearing: Shorts BLANKNYC | Tank Gap | Shoes Steve Madden | Necklace Free People

To be honest, give me a good pair of jean shorts and a tank and I'm set for summer. I especially love these denim shorts because of the patchwork design, which sets them apart from your average jean short. I kept this look really casual so the emphasis was on the shorts with just a simple black tank, some gold jewels, and my feather pendant for some added fun. 

Tied Up

What I'm Wearing: Shorts BLANKNYC | Tank Urban Outfitters, Similar | Shoes Ted Baker

So as you know I love floral and I love bright colors. I especially love these shorts because they are almost neutral in the front and then bright green and pink in the back. It's like a fun little surprise. I feel like summer style should be for the most part pretty laid back and casual, so a black tank with a cute little front tie and some flip flips complete my look.

I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of the crop top trend. I mean I don't need to be rude, but I don't like seeing everyone's stomachs everywhere I go. But I do love the trend of crop tops and a high-waisted bottom, showing just the slightest bit of skin. I think it looks so cute without going over the top skin crazy. And this super adorable skirt, which I borrowed from my sister, is from the new Savvy trends at Nordstrom, which is all more affordable but still super cute clothing. Even better, this crop top was eleven dollars.
