My birthday may be over, but the shopping is not. I have a few dollars to spend now from some birthday gifts so now the fun really starts. Obviously I can't buy everything pictured above, but a few of these items will definitely be bought. Not sure which ones just yet, still figuring all that out. Anyway, I must confess I already got the mini Balenciaga, it was a gift from my parents (thanks!), but I had to put it on the list anyway since it was on the original birthday wish list. The rest of the items are really just a random selection of items I have my eye on.

 I've been really wanting easy dresses for the summer, so a few of those made it on the list. And even though that Anine Bing dress (number 10) is sold out basically everywhere I still put it on the list in the hopes that someone who happens to be a size xs might just return one. 

Then of course there's tons of jewelry that I'm currently pining for. Basically anything dainty, simple, or with a pearl is on the list. Then there's the Elizabeth and James bucket bag/backpack that I've been in love with for quite some time but can't quite convince myself to actually buy (I love pocketbooks as much as the next person, but how many does one really need?). 

And lastly, there had to be some shoes on the list. These Vince booties have been on my mind for a while now, one of these days I'll just go ahead and buy them. And I've given in, I'm going to buy a pair of birks, you just can't beat that comfort, plus most woman in fashion have already accepted them.

Prep-Schooled

What I'm Wearing: Jeans Hudson Jeans | Sweater Aritzia | Blouse Tucker, Similar

Today I decided to do something pretty different from my normal style, I went preppy. And I really liked it. I love the little leopard print collar peeping out of my sweater, this is definitely a look I will try again. But of course I never like going too much in one direction of style, so the ripped jeans add a nice contrast to all the preppiness going on with my top half. 

Summer Lovin'

What I'm Wearing: Shorts Free People, Similar | Tank Free People, Similar | Shoes Kurt Geiger

Summer, florals, it's a no brainer. I love the laid back feel of these Free People cut-offs. Then the button down tank with a peter pan collar dresses it back up. And I absolutely love these new sandals. I've had so much trouble finding shoes this summer that don't leave me with beat-up feet. Part of that is probably mother nature's fault, since nothing is comfortable in 90 degree heat. But, anyways, I love this pair because of the color and the allover studs, and so far they're comfortable too.

What I'm Wearing: Romper Pins and Needles (Urban Outfitters) | Shoes Chanel | Bangle Kate Spade

This is actually the only romper I own (aside from a coverup) and I love it, I need to find more. It's just so easy and effortless to wear. Plus, I got tons of compliments when I wore it on Friday, which is always a nice bonus. And I love the lace detail on the collar of this romper, and the sheer middle, which adds a little something extra to what is otherwise just a black outfit. The top was a little too sheer, however, for my liking so I added a bandeau underneath. I must say, I am kinda obsessed with these high necks with collars that I've been seeing lately. I've seen them a lot, especially in Ted Baker tops, and I've coined the term "puritan chic" for them. They're conservative but still so stylish and fun. And, lastly, thanks to my mom for surprising me with a few goodies on my birthday including this Kate Spade bangle, I love it.

Denim on Denim on Denim

What I'm Wearing: Jeans AG Jeans | Shirt Double Zero, Similar | Shoes Steve Madden | Watch Skagen | Ring Frey Wille

I am certainly embracing the denim trend with this outfit. I decided to put denim in every aspect of my outfit with a denim collared shirt, my favorite jeans, and, yes, even denim sandals. And, as promised, I put a close up of all my gold jewels. I'm wearing my new watch, which I am completely in love with, a bracelet my amazing aunt gave me, and my great-grandmother's bracelet. I love how the colors in the bracelet my aunt give me match my colorful rings. And I also really love how my nails match the colors in my rings too, I feel so coordinated and put together.
