Wanted | To The Point

Pointed-toes have been on my radar for a while now. There is something so classic about just about any shoe with a pointed-toe. And a pointed-toe helps to elongate your legs, which is never a bad thing. But, while I like pretty much pointed-toe anything, right now a certain style has caught my eye. Basically loafers, oxfords, or anything menswear inspired with a pointed-toe is on my wish list. The only problem I'm running into is that the best ones are way out of my price range. (Ugh, isn't that always the case though?) So, while I continue my search for the perfect reasonably priced oxford/loafer, although I did find one cut-out version from Forever 21, shop some higher-end styles below:

Clothes For Thought | Designer Dreams

For this edition of Clothes For Thought I finally opened up the September issue of Vogue. Yes, I know it's November, but that issue is 902 pages, talk about intimidating. But, before I even got to the actual content of the magazine I had already amassed a huge pile of pages just from the ads. And not just any ads, Vogue is filled with pages of ads from the most amazing designers. So I decided to put together some of my favorite wish-I-could-afford-them pieces. What I ended up with was an amazing Chanel coat and boots, seriously does Chanel ever get it wrong? A gorgeous coat from Comme des Garçons, a Saint Laurent sweater dress with the best moto boots, and a beautiful floral print dress from Valentino. And now that I've been inspired by these amazing designer pieces I decided to pick out a few more affordable pieces inspired by the looks above. Shop them below:

Designer Crush

I was so happy when I heard Phillip Lim is going to be the next Target collaboration. I was a little less excited when I found out I have to wait until September to get my hands on the pieces of the collection. But nonetheless this is awesome news. Phillip Lim is one of those designers that I love but I can't afford, like not unless I gathered up all my birthday money or something. But of course, I still browse his collections and dream of the day when I'll be successful and have enough money to buy all of his clothing. And that's what makes this target collab so great, it brings amazing designers to the masses. I'm so excited to see what's in store for this collection come September, because seriously everything Phillip Lim designs just exudes coolness. Until then, I'll dream about the pieces above.
(all the pieces above are available at Saks Fifth Avenue)
